i have a thing for hair flair; hats, turbans, headpieces, hair bands, fascinators...i love it all.

obviously the royal wedding re-sparked everyones appreciation for hair flair.

really, how fabulous are these?!?!

and then while feverishly flipping through my coveted September VOGUE i spied this ever so chic photo of anita pallenberg. 

while at my moms this past weekend, we were flipping through her endless sea of catalogs and i spotted these gorgeous hair bands made of huge, fresh, hot pink flowers.

my brain spins on dreaming up places where i can go wearing this. swoon!

so it seems hot hats are everywhere. i guess i need to bust out my turban this season, that i have yet to bring to the streets.

i love a clean, simple clear coat of nail polish and hence, it's what i most frequent. however, i'm not one to be afraid of color. come summer, i love a neon pink or electric purple polish on my nails.

and just spotted this via VOGUE and would love to try it. 

...or maybe i just love the bag. 

to turban or not to turban

i recently got a fabulous turban in ivory silk that i have been desperate for an excuse/event/occasion to wear it, similar to this one.

but already i am thinking of leaping past the full turban and attempting to rock the turban bun

i just LOVE the head wrapped yellow silk one. 

maybe for a special late june wedding?

apartment revamp

mr.s and i decided our sweet baby girl needed more crawling space in our shrinking apartment but didn't want her letters + numbers piece mat to go past "v" so, we ordered 3 new persian rugs for our apartment. they just arrived and i adore them!

(this is one that was in the running, but didn't make the final 3 cut)

and now i'm feeling inspired to change the couch and lighting. here are some couch ideas from the ever-fabulous-yet-inexpensive urban outfitters...

ralph lauren

totally inspired by ralph lauren and all of the beauty of his brand. he was on 'oprah' for a very exclusive interview yesterday, along with his gorgeous family in their home in colorado. everything was beautiful. i was swooning over the textiles throughout the space. and fell in love with the barn on the property that ralph has hardly touched with the exception of adding chandeliers. oh my!

fashion weak for fur

once again, my fabulous friend fernanda scored me tickets to this seasons fashion week @ lincoln center. dear dennis basso, what a gorgeous collection! i sat amongst the fur clad crowd, trying to fit in in my purple fur collar vintage coat, in awe of the delicious linx, fox + chinchilla. and i loved the thick brocades and the heavy, cashmere knits in the dresses and gloves. i enjoyed everything from the belts to the chic + simplistic hair, great music, and even the pretty sweet seats (center, 4 rows back)
